Birds Landing Shooting Sports is a full-service, world-class upland game hunting preserve and Sporting Clays facility. Located in the sleepy town of Birds Landing, California, it operates on approximately 1100 acres of prime habitat adjacent to the Suisun Marsh, the largest contiguous brackish water wetland in western North America. The marsh is where fresh water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta meets salt water from San Francisco Bay. We are in close proximity to the Napa Valley Wine Country, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the historic Gold Country of the Sierra Foothills. Birds Landing is a destination facility for shooting enthusiasts from all over the world.
Birds Landing Hunting Preserve offers both pheasant and chukar as the primary game bird. Our property is diverse and maintained solely for upland gamebird hunting. Trained bird dogs are a must, and for those not able to bring their own, excellent rental dogs and/or guided hunts are available. In the background is Mount Diablo, which provides a picturesque and unforgettable scenery on every hunt.
Birds Landing Sporting Clays features two fully automated Sporting Clays courses and a Competition 5-Stand. The courses are easily the most popular among clay shooters in Northern California. Set against a backdrop of rolling hills and old train tracks, you will feel like you have stepped into a world where new and old are colliding together. The courses are dynamically set to both reward and challenge shooters of all skill types.
The Birds Landing Clubhouse has maintained its historical roots. It was originally built for the Montezuma Union School district as a two-room K-12 school which served the local community until 1976. Now the clubhouse offers a ProShop and Café. The ProShop is impressive and features one of the best gun selections in all of Northern California. Our locally popular cafe serves breakfast and lunch along with cold refreshments and snacks. So, whether you need to purchase your new gun or enjoy the best cheeseburger in town, the clubhouse has you covered.
